Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer to improve your experience while you navigate through the website. These cookies will be stored in your browser only with your consent. You also have the option to opt-out of these cookies. However, opting out of some of these cookies may impact your browsing experience.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Forms

We use forms to collect client information. To do this, we gather necessary data, including names, email addresses, and basic information regarding the enquiry, such as a booking date. All information entered by a client is securely transmitted to us via end-to-end encryption.

Data Storage

We prioritise our clients’ security and take every reasonable precaution to protect client data. We use an internal server for storing client photographs, accessible only within our personal network. Our network is protected with SSL encryption, and we use strong passwords on all devices used to access and process client data. We also back up our client photographs privately on cloud services like Google Drive and Flickr. We keep a permanent record of our clients data and associated photographs.

We retain this data in order to provide identity verification for clients requesting replacement images or prints in case of loss and occasionally for marketing purposes, where offers or services may be of interest to the client.

As a client, you have the right to request all data associated with you and the right to delete all such data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@boyntonandjones.com to discuss this further.

Aside from our client portal (see Third Party Applications above), we do not share any client data with any third parties without permission.  The one exception to this is completed client galleries for which we retain copyright and the right to use for the promotion of our services, either online or in print.  In certain cases we are happy to negotiate regarding the deletion of individual images on a case-by-case basis.  To start this process, please contact us at hello@boyntonandjones.com.

Photographs

The final photographs provided to our clients remain our intellectual property and are protected by local copyright laws. However, clients have full usage rights to share, print, and distribute their photographs any way they wish. We may use photographs for promotional material, social media, and on our website to promote our services.

Copyright Law

The copyright of photographs remains with the Photographer. The Photographer grants the Clients permission to make copies of the images under the following conditions.
  • The images taken by the Photographer are for personal use by the Clients and their friends and relatives.
  • Sale, Publication (other than the client’s own personal outlets) or any Commercial use of the photographs is not allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer.

Social Media

We reserve the right to share any images on Social Media, websites and publications for our own promotion. Clients have the right to request that specific individual images from the final gallery be exempt from sharing for appropriate reasons.

Sharing images is a vital part of our business strategy. If clients wish to prevent their entire gallery from being shared, a fee for this can be negotiated.
