Karen & Alex

East Afton Farm, Isle of Wight

In Fitness and in Health

On a sultry Summer’s day, we arrived at East Afton Farm in the West of the Isle of Wight. Our mission for the day was to photograph Karen and Alex’s wedding. East Afton is one of those venues that make the lives of vendors very straightforward. As well as being beautiful, it is all encompassing with separate accommodations for each of the betrothed. So as I set off to the main house to find the bride, Chris went to find the groomsmen, who had gone out cycling! As it turns out Karen and Alex lead their lives centred around health and fitness, so losing half of the wedding party to a bike ride was unsurprising to them! Soon though, everyone was assembled and their wedding day began with earnest!

Love, Bubbling Over!

Karen and Alex’s wedding ceremony was elegant and timeless. A beautiful tribute to their relationship and time as a couple. Their guests enjoyed canapés and lawn games and the back of the house whilst the couple marked their marriage with newlywed portraits. As the day progressed, the elegance evolved into energetic enthusiasm. Champagne and bubble wands created alchemy both in the golden evening light and into dusk on the dance-floor.

It was an unforgettable day with a lovely couple and we are very grateful to have been asked to capture it.
