Julian and Stephen married on a perfect summer’s day in 2019. Six entire years ago, pre-pandemic, it was a wholly different world! With our new website, we want to showcase both our most up-to-date work and some past favourites. This laid-back, eclectic wedding day is a stunning part of that archive!
A unique timeline made Julian and Stephen’s wedding stand out immediately. The two men, eschewing tradition, opted for the intimacy of preparing for their day together. They were present as their guests arrived, greeting friends and family while champagne and canapés flowed. Their day segued directly into feasting, as their wedding breakfast was served early in the great hall at Appuldurcombe House.
With appetites sated, the gathering moved to the ceremony space. Adorned with flowers and foliage, the room provided a perfect backdrop for the couple’s vows.
The post-ceremony celebration was joyous. Guests retired to the sun-soaked lawn to recline in red and white striped deck-chairs. The energetic danced, sang, and played along with Serbian Balkan Gypsy Roma Music from Faith i Branco. As the evening drew in, Agent Funk took to the stage to preside over revelers long into the night.
It was a memorable wedding in so many ways. It has been fantastic to revisit this wedding for this post.
Infrastructure including power, lighting and toilets, plus the ice-cream bike were provided by The Events Co.
