“We met with Lucy several times leading up to the big day. From the get-go, she had such infectious energy and made us feel really comfortable immediately; as two women getting married, this was very important to us.
Lucy was really flexible, and we developed a package that suited our weekend wedding plans. We had two bridal parties getting ready in the morning; Lucy’s husband, Chris, did the photography for one bridal party as there was a lot going on, and he was excellent—especially with so many women getting ready! “Chris is the kind of wedding photographer who is everywhere at once, yet completely unobtrusive! He was with us for eight hours on our wedding day in June and gave us almost 1,000 fantastic photos that we love. He seemed to capture everyone, but we hardly noticed him all day because he was so discreet. He captured the ambiance and joy of the day perfectly.
I particularly loved all the shots of guests arriving and the pictures he took of the decor and flowers before the ceremony, as I didn’t get to see any of that on the day while I was tucked away getting ready!

We chatted with Lucy on a video call long before the wedding so we could get to know each other and explain the sort of photos we were hoping to capture. We also shared a Pinterest board of inspiration, which she totally took on board and ran with.
Our wedding package included a ‘practice run’ before our wedding, which was great for helping us feel more comfortable in front of the camera while it was just the two of us, meaning we could be more relaxed on our wedding day. In fact, the photos she took then were so good we didn’t feel the need to have a long couple’s shoot on the day, giving us more time with our guests – ideal!
On the day, Lucy was totally amazing – she captured the mood and all our loved ones perfectly. She also took charge of some very hectic, rowdy group photos with aplomb, getting everyone where they needed to be while making it super fun and engaging. At one point, she was hanging half-out of an upstairs window to get the perfect group shot – now, that’s what I call dedication!
